This technique is one of my all time favorites for repurposing items especially furniture, mirrors, dressers and desks. Basically you can take any paper, wallpaper or fabric and make a custom piece. It is done by using a medium called Modge Podge. Modge Podge can be found at any craft store and is an all-in-one glue, sealer and finish. It is AMAZING! Speaking of amazing, Modge Podge and I are celebrating our 45th birthdays this year as it seems Modge Podge was born the same year as I. OH what great things came out of 1967! LOL!
You can learn more about MODGE PODGE here and see other fantastic uses for it.
BAZE.COM has instructions on how you can make a dresser just like this one…it is simple and can also bring color into your space. I have decoupaged many things including a desk and a mirror… both of which I will post in the future. I have bought those gigantic books full of scrapbooking paper and used it to decoupage items. The possibilities are endless! Kids love it too, because just like when we were kids, if you get modge podge on your fingers….you can peel it off just like Elmer’s glue. 🙂 Have fun and be creative
